Dear Simpson

I got a letter this morning from Harmer asking me to lend some of the things at Xts to him for the Nat History show. I got his letter just as we were going off to my daughters wedding & then I forgot ─ like an idiot.

I have not the list here but I know he wants

[1v]

the big dissecting microscope with the wooden hand rests. If you are sending any big things, could this go with them

I am dining at the Orchard & I will write from my house tonight to tell you the other things for Harmer

[2]

Anything prefer I could send registered by post & need not trouble you─ but if you are sending a batch of things to Harmer & have time tomorrow you might possibly include all the things for Harmer

yrs sincerely

F Darwin
