Dear Simpson
I have a scrap of my father's MS of 1847 which I should like you to have, if you care to, as a small memento of the Darwin Exhibition
It comes from the

brown paper portfolio that was there shown I have copied it & put my copy in its place, so that there is no injury to the scientific value of the portfolio
If you will let me know where to send it you shall have it at once.
yrs sincerely
Francis Darwin
