May 29, 1909.

The Director of the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew, presents his compliments to Mr. A. E. Shipley, M.A., F.R.S., and begs to inform him that in reply to his letter of the 15th. inst. he is sending for the Darwin Exhibition the volumes of letters from Charles Darwin to Prof. J. S. Henslow, containing in a panel inside the front board of the binding a set of seven seals.
