THE LIFE AND LETTERS OF JOHANN GASPAR SPURZHEIM

Edited by John van Wyhe

I transcribed and edited the c. 160,000 words of Spurzheim's letters between 2000-2005, many from microfilms. Throughout I followed the magnificent example of the Darwin Correspondence. However in 2005 Darwin Online came to take all of my time and I have therefore had to put Spurzheim on hold. I also need to apply for funding to help with the French letters. I am very grateful to the generous help of Valia Varacca who initially transcribed the French letters.
